I set out to create a poster for an event in Michigan, and after some thought, I landed on the Vermontville Maple Syrup Festival—an. Designing this poster wasn’t just about highlighting the sweet maple syrup; it became a journey through the heart of the festival itself. I wanted to capture the essence of a gathering where families come together to enjoy food, take part in time-honored traditions, and the company of one another.The challenge was to visually capture not just the event, but the sense of community. Using playful designs and rich colors, I aimed to reflect a small town where neighbors gather year after year to celebrate connection, home, and shared memories.

Each year, people come together to celebrate Michigan’s maple syrup history through crafts, breakfasts, and shared activities. Exploring its website and archives, the festival’s emphasis on tradition and togetherness stood out. With this poster, I wanted to reflect the warmth and unity that this event brings to the community.
