Creating a video thats showcase a hobby, intrest or skill in a fomrat of a “How-To” video.MY VISION
I set out to do more than demonstrate how to make a lamp—I wanted to convey the warmth of spending time with a loved one. What began as a straightforward "How To" video evolved into a heartfelt experience of creating something special with my dad and family. The project became as much about the memories we shared as the lamp itself. To reflect that cozy, nostalgic feeling, I used warm color grading in the video, contrasting the cold winter day outside. This wasn’t just about building a lamp; it was about fostering connections and cherishing those simple, meaningful moments at home.FINAL VIDEO
PROCESS I began the research process by exploring YouTube videos on lamp-making to gather inspiration and map out the essential steps. I started by drafting a preliminary script and creating moodboards to establish the overall tone and visual direction. This included key elements necessary for the video, such as moodboards, color grading, shot angles, required objects and materials, and scouting potential locations for filming.
Once I found the perfect location and set up the lighting, I began experimenting with different camera angles to create a mockup of the filming process. I also tested various color grading options with the lighting setup to refine the visual tone. Additionally, I took test photos to experiment with different typography, ensuring it complemented the location and background while remaining clear and visually appealing.
